Of Buko Pies and other Tagaytay Goodies.

The other day, my mom sent me an SMS:

“Hi sweet, we’re here in Tagaytay. Will dine in Bawai’s then have mass at Little Souls. Anything you want from here?” (Really good Vietnamese food in Bawai’s by the way, for foodies out there)

To which I replied, “No, thanks, Mom. Just enjoy your day.”

My mom then replied with another SMS, “I’m with your Tita Evelyn,  Mama Gen, Tita Lori, Tita Merly and Tita Linda.”

I raised my eyebrowsand told the hubby, “Guess what? Our moms are having a bonding time in Tagaytay without telling us.”

As if on cue, Artie’s phone rang and it was his mom asking him if he wanted anything from Tagaytay. To which he said, “I want Choco Flakes, Lengua de Gato, and buko pie… for Lia (YAH, RIGHT!).”

*facepalm*

And before the day ended, our moms passed buy our condo to drop off the goodies!

Pastries from Rowena’s! A must visit in Tagaytay.

Mmm, buko tarts! :) Microwave to warm, top with vanilla ice cream and eat with tea or coffee. Nom! :)

Sometimes, our differences really amuse me.
