Attention husbands, boyfriends, wives, girlfriends and significant others.
If your better half is a blogger, you guys should take a leaf out of my hubby’s book on how to woo/love a blogger. Haha.
Like any blogger, I’m quite obsessed about my blog’s analytics and stats. I use a number of widgets and websites to track my blog’s analytics.
The newest blog analytics tracker I’m using is Woopra. What I like about Woopra is that it is real-time and it has a client that you can conveniently run on your desktop.
So pretty much the whole day, my Woopra client is running and I would obsessively occasionally peek at my blog stats.
Except last Friday. Unfortunate for the hubby who decided to be the romantic that he is. His romantic plan failed because I didn’t see it then, but I have to give him credit, really, LOL :)
Our conversation last night:
Artie: Can I take a look at your Dashboard?
Me: Why?
Artie: Wala lang. I want to see what info I can get from it. Like the queries and keyword search.
Me: (feeling suspicious since it’s not in his line of work) Is it for work?
Artie: Sort of.
Me: *teasingly* Baket, ume-eps ka na naman at work? (Haha, yes, I’m mean that way. I like to mercilessly tease him about his gung-ho “bibo” exaggerated personality. Amuses me a lot since I’m very stoic compared to him. How he has so much energy is beyond me.)
Artie: Hay nako, iinisin mo lang ako mali pa. The right term is “nagpapasikat”.
Me: Whatever. *rolling my eyes*
So I opened my Dashboard and started showing him which stats and information are available. He said, “No, I want to see your queries last Friday.”
I started groaning and sighing since it was taking too long and I just wanted to dabble in my Facebook already.
So I started showing him the searches for Friday, quickly scrolling up and down.
Me: Here.
Artie: Can you scroll more slowly. I think I saw my query already.
And guess what I saw?
All together now: “Awwwwwwwww.”
In reality though, I was rolling my eyes and trying not to get all ‘kilig’, haha ;) I like playing the tough cookie, hehe.
So if ever you do try this, make sure your better half’s analytics tool is as comprehensive as Woopra and make sure he/she is checking it out the moment you do something like this (like a proposal, or something, haha) ;)
Artie 1 point! ;)

Too bad all the keywords that people search and lead them to my site are er, not so suitable for kids. LOL
ang sweet naman naks! :)
Hahaha! I remember Jayvee posting about Woopra on Plurk (when I asked about other stat tools). He said you could stalk your readers with it.
Ang cute naman ni Artie!
Jayvee wasn’t kidding when he said you can stalk them. You really can! You can even chat with them, lol. It’s creepy :P
Hi Roch, thanks for passing by! :)
HAHA :)
Hello. This article was extremely motivating, especially because I was investigating for thoughts on this topic last Monday.
Oops di ako spam hahaha…. hey i know you from way back in college. ur the girl who designs awesome looking girly websites. nice blog you have here. geeks rule!
Haha, hi Calvin! :)
Thanks for dropping by. Gosh, what website? I’ve forgotten already, haha! :) I hope they don’t have shiny, blinking graphics ;)
nope… all i remembered were lots of pink and white and super tiny fonts that only small girls could read. oh and scrolling text with alternating upper and lower case letters. :P
Calvin, NOOOO, haha! ;)
I shudder at the stuff people search to get to my blog :)
Hahaha, I haven’t had a weird search yet. But I do know a lot of people are looking for a “geek girl in Manila”, lol :)
I really like the real-time aspect of this program as well, but Woopra support is terrible. It’s so frustrating that they don’t respond to emails or questions in their support forum.
So far I haven’t had problems with Woopra so I haven’t engaged with their support yet. What problem did you undergo and how did your experience went?
