Gone are the days when my idea of a Friday gimmick is to go to a club, drink like a fish and wake up the next morning wondering how I got home and try to remember what happened the night before.
A couple of years ago, I could have enumerated the hippest and coolest party places in Manila. But now, I’m totally clueless! (It’s either I’m getting boring or I’m getting old, haha)
Nowadays, I’m much happier to stay at home, playing World of Warcraft, curling up with a good book or just stay in bed the whole day (without taking a bath, haha!) and have TV show marathons.
But of course, there are days when I have to leave my cave and socialize with people.
Nowadays, my idea of a Friday night gimmick is to have a quiet dinner with friends and probably end the night with a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee and a tasty dessert.
And that’s what I did last night!
If you’re looking for a nice after-dinner hang out place, try checking out Sweet Bella Cafe at Burgos Circle at The Fort.
Sweet Bella Cafe is a quaint little coffee and dessert place. Their coffee drinks (Nespresso Coffee) are reasonably priced at around P120-P180 a cup and their yummy, yummy mini cakes are priced at around P130-P180.
Their full-sized cakes are a bit expensive, though, at average price of at least P1,500 a cake. But I’m pretty sure with how they look like, they SHOULD taste pretty scrumptious, too!

I forgot what this is called but it’s REALLY yummy! :) Just the right sweetness with a wafery-bottom :)
A cup of Cappuccino to satisfy my caffeine cravings :) And they don’t scrimp on sugar packets, too!
We ordered a few French maccaroons. I tried the Caramel Sea Salt. Very sweet :P
And to make our Sweet Bella Cafe experience even better, we got a complimentary pot of hot chocolate! :)

So if you’re looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth, I would definitely recommend Sweet Bella Cafe :)
You might also want to check them out, too, if you’re looking for a place to have breakfast. I heard they serve awesome pancakes topped with fresh fruits! Yum!
