When it comes to fashion, I would like to think that most geeks like me prefer comfort over style.
For daily wear, I especially like wearing oversized tops that you can easily pull over and comfy bottoms like coloured leggings and stretchy pants. Accessorize and that’s it!
Just because we prefer comfort doesn’t mean that we have to sacrifice style, though, so it’s really awesome how sports brands like adidas are constantly reinventing their collections.
Sports wear nowadays don’t even look like sports wear at all! They look so stylish that you can even wear them outside of the gym.
Gone are the days when sportswear are considered ‘boring’ and ‘frumpy’ and the only thing ‘housewives’ wear!
For this year’s fall/winter collection, adidas Originals has collaborated with British singer, songwriter and actress, Rita Ora. This collaboration is inspired by a mutual admiration for “breaking the rules” and a shared rebellious nature.
The Pastel Pack takes to the skies with dreamy sunset shades of powder pinks, blues and yellows. The collection’s pieces all feature a feather motif inspired by Rita’s own dove tattoo.
The Roses Pack showcases the beautiful chaos of nature with repeat rose prints blooming around an insect invasion in a burst of rich colour and vivid detail. Loose boyfriend cuts in iconic sports fabrics contrast against the lush femininity of vividly luxurious red flock prints.
Between the two styles, I like the Pastel Pack more.
I could never get the print on print style right so I gravitate towards simple colour blocks that are easier to mix and match.
How about you? Which one of the two collections do you like best? :)
The Rita Ora Pastel pack will be available from 1 September 2014 while the Roses pack will be available from 1 November 2014 at adidas Greenbelt 3.
