I’m still on an endorphin high!
My girls and I are taking on this 30 day exercise challenge.
My girls who are doing the challenge with me are mostly mommies and they’re doing this challenge to get their pre-pregnancy body back. I, on the other hand, just really need to move more.
(Plus I really want abs. Just once in my life, I want defined, sexy abs)
So I’m done with day 1 and so far, the hardest for me to do are the squats! The push ups come second but will probably get harder as the days go by and I have to do more.
I’m pretty confident with my planking skills as I did the 30 day planking challenge before and by the end of the challenge, I was able to plank for 2 minutes straight quite easily.
I’m not going to pretend… I’m probably one of the sloth-iest people in the world.
I sit all day watching my anime and TV shows, while munching on cookies and whatnots. I also spend the whole day in front of my computer, blogging and playing World of Warcraft.
If I wasn’t genetically skinny, I would probably be really obese by now. Thank you, Dad and Mom, for my skinny genes.
Anyway, my friends said we should take Before and After photos, so here are my Before photos.
The only time I ever had an exercise regimen was around 4 years ago before my accident. I was regularly doing yoga at Ekagrata Sala thrice a week for 6 months. It was the healthiest I’ve felt! I loved having toned arms and a strong core.
I would love to get into that kind of routine again but my laziness is at an all time high. I barely leave the house so exercises that can be done from home are the perfect exercises for me.
Anyway, let me share some useful videos with you if ever you decide to get on with this 30 day exercise challenge. I’ve googled on the proper way of doing a crunch and squat, and so far these 2 videos are the easiest to understand.
When doing the different exercise moves, it’s really important to follow proper form so you don’t end up injuring yourself and straining your muscles.
Also, don’t forget to do some stretches before starting! I, personally, like doing Chaturangas as a warm up before I start doing anything intense :)
Anyway, to end this post, a cat photo.
Are you doing this 30 day challenge, too? Let me know how it goes for you! :)
