You know, as you get older, it gets harder and harder to appreciate the holidays.
With so many things going on during the holidays, like traffic, additional expenses and family drama, it’s so easy to lose sight of what’s really important during the Christmas season.
Needless to say, Christmas is not my favorite holiday.
For reasons I won’t mention, my stress levels are always at their peak during Christmas.
With that said, I have to shamelessly admit that I’m very happy that the holidays are over and every thing is back to regular programming.
But before I totally move on to 2015, here’s a little recap of what went on during the holidays!
(I may get stressed and complain but the one thing I have to be thankful for during the holidays is getting to spend time with family and friends.)

★ December 24/25, 2014 – Christmas Eve at my parent’s house.
Every year, we spend Christmas with my side of the family by having an early dinner at my parent’s house.
My mom’s table setting.
This year’s food – salmon pasta, turkey, truffle pasta and angus bolognese. Yum yum!
My sister and Meimei having a wishbone fight!
After eating, we just watch TV, have dessert and chat until midnight. And when it’s midnight, we open gifts!
And take the usual family photo <3
Then a little bit after midnight, Artie and I head on over to his lola’s house to spend time with his side (mom’s side) of the family.
We eat again, and chat, and open more gifts!
We finally end in the whee hours of the morning.
But the celebration doesn’t end there!
On the evening of the 25th, we have another Christmas dinner with Artie’s side of the family. His dad’s side this time around.
New Year 2015
For the New Year, we pretty much have the same schedule. Early dinner on the 31st at my parent’s house, then we head over to his mom’s side to meet the new year.
