Start Your Week Procrastinating with Dragon Age Facebook Game!

I’m kidding about the procrastinating thing. I definitely don’t want to get you in trouble at work at the start of the week.

But just in case your Monday is starting off a bit slow, here’s a little Facebook game you might want to get into.

Promise, it’s not as demanding as Farmville 🙂

I’ve stopped playing Facebook games altogether but Dragon Age for Facebook is just sucking me back in. I’ve been wanting to play Dragon Age for PC but since I’m running on low HD space, I don’t have the leisure of installing a game that might eat up my already non-existent free space.

Dragon Age for Facebook is a turn-based RPG game with a nice graphical interface.

You start off with making and customizing your hero. You have a choice whether to make a warrior, a mage or a rogue.

I like making my online toons look like real life me 🙂 Yes, I chose the “cute” face 😉 I chose a mage. I always like caster types when playing RPG

The game is very simple. You complete quests by going around the world map. The world map has stops and when you get to a stop, you either get tips, get treasures or engage in combat.

Moving to a stop consumes energy. So if you run out of energy you need to wait for a good 30 mins or so for it to replenish. (Or use real money to buy credits, hehe.)

The controls are pretty easy. You click your toon or your enemy and a menu with the possible actions will come out. When engaging in combat, you form a party with your Facebook friends! Remember to save your high level friends for harder monsters 🙂

Like in any normal RPG, you get to level up and when you do, you get to upgrade your toon’s skills.

That’s all pretty much how the game is.

I find it really amusing that they managed to integrate the concepts of Hotel City, though.

After the tutorial, you get a castle.

Like Hotel City, you get to build rooms. Since I’m just starting out I only have a Worker Room and an Apothecary where I can make potions and get them after x number of hours 🙂

That’s it. Pretty simple and fun game. Try it! 🙂
