Club Hopping: Salon de Ning at The Peninsula Hotel

I’ve been slacking this week due to the fact that most, if not all of the blog topics I have in mind paled in comparison to the news that Ed Westwick aka Chuck Bass was here in Manila last week.

No point in blogging about anything else, really. *having a Chuck Bass hang over*

On a more related note, I did get to check out Salon de Ning in Manila Peninsula for Ed Westwick’s press conference…

HAHAH I WISH! JUST KIDDING. (I would have died, gone to heaven and missed the conference if I did get invited to the very exclusive event.)

But seriously, I was able check out Salon de Ning a week ago, before Ed Westwick came to Manila.

I must say, it’s not your typical ‘clubby lounge and bar’.

It’s more frou-frou than most clubs that I usually frequent.

Salon de Ning’s interior design has an East meets West kind of theme, in a Parisian Salon kind of way, or “Shanghai Deco”.

It’s a really cool place. You would half expect to see girls in Can Can costumes flirting with the Chinese Mafia, haha.

As for the crowd… hmm, well, when we were there the crowd was a bit older than I would have liked (a few cougars and old men here and there). I wasn’t really surprised however, since hotel bars are usually frequented by a much older crowd.

With that said, the music that was playing was also from a couple of decades ago, like the 1980’s 🙂

If Salon de Ning is not up to your liking, there’s always ROBOT nearby for the much younger crowd 😉
