EveryDay MasterCard – Your All-in-One Cash Rebate Card

Hi, I’m Lia, and I’m an online shopaholic.

*Ka-ching*

Most of you know I’m a work-from-home social media manager. I barely go out of the house, so most of my purchases are done online.

That’s why in my case, a credit card is really important to me.

I actually have a number of credit cards.

My credit cards, my precious!

This year, I’m trying to bring down my number of credit cards to at most two (2) cards.

The reason why I got a number of credit cards was for their rebate perks: I use one for gas (before when I still used to drive to work), I use a different one when I shop, and I use another card when I buy medicine.

But it’s such hassle to have multiple cards. For one thing, the annual fees are a killer! Imagine paying for 4 cards, with an annual fee of at least P1,500 each. Eek.

Another inconvenience is paying monthly for different cards. Since I have a number of cards, I sometimes get confused and end up missing paying for a card. And when that happens, I end up paying for late fees. (They may seem small, but if it happens a lot, you can see that you end up wasting a lot of money!)

Do you have multiple credit cards, too? Don’t you wish there was just one card for everything?

Well, guess what? EastWest has an all-in-one cash rebate card!

If you’re looking for an every day credit card, you might want to consider the EastWest EveryDay MasterCard.

The interesting thing about this credit card (compared to other cards) is that you get up to 5% cash rebate on your essential spending such as supermarket, gas and drugstore purchases.

The higher you spend on non-essential items (such as clothing and dining), the higher your rebates!

For example, if I spend P10,000 on shopping this month, I can get 5% rebate on my essential spendings. (3% rebate for P5,000 to below P10,000, 0.5% cash rebate for below P5,000).

Basically, the more you shop for the fun stuff, the higher rebate you can get for the essential things! Where else can you find a card that will reward you when you shop for anything, anywhere, right? 😉

If my monthly essential purchases are as follow:

  • Supermarket – P5,000
  • Drugstore – P6,000 (The hubby has diabetes, so we really spend a lot on medicine, monthly)
  • Gas – P5,000

I can get as much as P800 rebate for the month!

Other cards will only give you a rebate when you spend on certain merchants, but the EastWest EveryDay MasterCard basically gives you cash rebate on your purchases on any supermarket, any gas station and any drugstore!

The best part is there’s no need to redeem your cash rebates! Your cash rebates will be automatically credited to your EastWest EveryDay MasterCard account once you accumulate Php200 worth of cash rebates

That’s pretty cool since some of the cards I currently own have a very complicated rebate process. So complicated that I don’t even bother claiming any rebates at all.
