My Ensogo Pick-Up Experience

Image from Bongga Ba

Being the online shopping addict that I am, I’ve purchased a few items from group deal site likes Ensogo and Cash Cash Pinoy.

Normally, the items I buy are for delivery so the whole experience is hassle-free and I get my items straight on my door step, and I’m happy.

However, there’s this one item that I recently purchased that required to be picked up at the Ensogo Office.

Ensogo is at the 2/F of the W Office Building in Fort Bonifacio Global City. It’s the building where Skye Lounge is.

My sister was supposed to pick it up, but since I was in the area last Friday, I decided to pick it up myself to save my sister the trouble.

I thought all I had to do was get there before 5PM, present my voucher and go my merry way with my item in hand. Breeze in, breeze out. I should be done in 20 minutes, tops!

BOY, WAS I WRONG.

It was 4:45pm in the afternoon.

When I stepped off the elevator on the 2nd floor of the W Office Building, what greeted me was a LOOOOONG LINE of people along the corridor waiting for their number to be called so they can present their voucher and claim their item.

I was ready to turn back and just forget about it. But being the optimist that I am, I thought the line would move fast.

When I got to the main room (think storage room), it was FULL of people. There were around 30 seats and all were occupied. People were already standing and squeezed in corners. You could feel the body heat from everyone and the negative, impatient energy all around!

The Ensogo employees were grumpy, too!

In other words, STRESS! (I think I started getting an anxiety attack, haha.)

I didn’t give up hope, though, and decided to get a number. The number I got was 66. They were servicing number 19. /sweat

There were moments when the line was moving slow because even though there were 4 Ensogo people there, if a problem came up, ALL the Ensogo people would attend to the issue and the line would just stop for a good 15 minutes or so. But if everything was going smoothly, the line moved fast.

I wasn’t ready to give up just yet! Fortunately, I was able to find a seat and just decided to wait. While waiting, I learned a few things:

  • Make sure that when you go there, you bring the VOUCHER and not the email notification from Ensogo. If you bring just the email, they won’t let you claim the item no matter how long you’ve been in line. The voucher can be found in your Ensogo account, in ‘My Vouchers’.
  • If you can, go there first thing in the morning. The office opens at 10AM. If you can be there by 930AM and wait until they open their doors, do it! Why? Because there’s a big chance that they can run out of stock of the item you are claiming. If that happens, you have to come back the next day (or whenever the item is available). The couple beside me was waiting in line for a good 30 minutes or so when Ensogo announced they ran out of the item they were going to claim. You can imagine how grumpy and disgruntled they were.
  • Bring a book and snacks. You might never know how long you’re going to wait.

In the end, I just gave up. It was already past 5PM and we wanted to be on the way home to Alabang before rush hour on a payday Friday. I ended up giving my number to the girl beside me. She had number 90 and by the time I left, they were servicing number 34. Well, 66 was better than 90!

So lesson learned – If you’re ordering something from Ensogo, make sure that you can have it delivered to your home. If the only option is For Pick Up, come prepared because it might be a LOOOOONG wait!

Ever had an Ensogo experience? How was it?

Hi Kitten, I really tried! Haha. Hopefully my sister gets to pick it up this week and early in the morning so the lines won’t be that long 🙂

Calv, hmm, tech item. A not-so high end tablet for my niece. Hehe. So pwede na rin!

  4. my colleague just picked up his iem(Corby tablet) at around 11am, he only stayed 15min max including testing of the item.

in spite of that, i still prefer not to buy from group buying sites if they don’t deliver the item.

Hi John Ray, glad to know your colleague had a better experience than I did! It was probably not the best decision that I went there in the afternoon. Really good that your colleague went there in the morning 🙂

  6. That’s horrible! I have an item due for pickup next week, and I was planning to go in the afternoon. After reading this, I’ll make sure to go in the morning (And not on a Friday!).

Hi Mae! It’s hassle free if you opt to get your item delivered, but if it’s for pick up, make sure to go first thing in the morning! 🙂

  11. Hi Lia, I ended up going in the afternoon anyway. But I was done within 20 minutes! Maybe a lot of items were for pickup the day you went, hence the long line. Hope you have a better experience next time.

  12. my gosh! thank God I have read this before i go to ensogo nxtweek to pick up the tablet i ordered from them.. thanks for the tip:)

I went ot their office earlier today to pick up my purchased item, this how it went:
Me: Miss, eto po yung voucher ko..
Ensogo: Mam, pasulat lng po sa logbook..Kuya Sonny, may (purchased item) ba?
(May naglabas ng item)..Eto na po Mam, please sign received..
    Me: K.Tnx.Bye.

Tapos, I left na with my item.. easy-breezy..Less than 10minutes inside the building including the elevator ride..
Luck was probably on my side today..

Hi Paul, you might want to bring na rin a letter of authorization just in case. 🙂

  19. I normally order stuff in Ensogo and have it delivered. Sana, I have read this before placing my order for pick-up in their office. I’m just wondering, does any knows if someone will assist you from their office if the thing that you bough is kinda heavy, i mean really heavy.

Hi Lily, from the last time I went there, all their staff were too busy so you might have a hard time looking for someone to help you carry anything. Best to bring a companion if you’re expecting a heavy package.

  21. Hi Geeky Lia! I can’t help grinning while looking back, remembering my addiction to Pac-Man and Asteroids on my Atari 5200 – the second Atari release with keypads on the controllers. You certainly don’t look like the “Atari generation” kasi — I thought you were the Family Com or later generation.

Anyway, your post regarding your Ensogo experience made me regretful that I got freakin’ SD cards through Ensogo but who could resist deals as good as these, right? I suddenly notice that this is an old post. Any news about redeeming or claiming your purchases nowadays?

    Thanks Geeky Lia. More power!

Hi Mark! Thanks for passing by my blog! 😉 Haha. I remember playing Atari but I think I was around 3-4 years old 😛 Definitely played famicon! 😛 As for Ensogo, I haven’t ordered from them in a while, sorry 😦 And the most recent, I had my item delivered already. I do hope their situations better now, though. Just remember to go there early na lang, haha 🙂 Good luck on claiming your stuff!

  23. Hi Lia!

I just did and thankfully, the long lines were non-existent. Probably because most customers already had tough and untolerable experiences just like what you had. I went there early this afternoon at around 2pm and got my order around 4:40pm. Yes it was a long wait. But after the anticipation of a knee-buckling, stomach grumbling, eyes drooping queue, I had a pleasant time watching movies – yes, movies because the film keeps getting cut in the middle then moves on to the next feature dammit – while sitting on a comfortable couch.

But since I’m posting a comment knowing that your experience and this post of mine gets read by a substantial number of your readers, please allow me to share what I saw and heard:

Upon reaching Ensogo’s 2nd flr office at the W Bldg 11th cor 28th sts at BGC, the lady at the counter with a red face. No, it wasn’t sunburn… it was due to sheer anger and frustration. She was saying that this was her FIFTH VISIT and again, the product wasn’t available. Five freakin’ times! She said that Ensogo staff were very inconsiderate and uncaring of their customers. She lives in QC, hates traffic and only ventures south just to claim her purchased product. She stresses on the fact that Ensogo knows how this had been a nightmare for her and yet did not even take 2 minutes to send her an email/text/give her a call to inform her that the product they promised her would finally be there today had not arrived. She then demanded for the clerk’s sup. The clerk simply said – without conviction, without emotion and with a poker face – that the sup is in a meeting. The customer screamed, jolting the rest of us, “WALA AKONG PAKIALAM! If he’s in the wash room, meeting, tumatae, nakapatong sa secretary niya (yes, she said er screamed this), tawagin mo siya! I am a very disappointed customer and I am demanding for him. If your boss is not available, then get me his boss. If his boss is not available then get me the person above him. I dont care if we go all the way up to the Chairman, just get me someone who has authority. I am going to demand for compensation including my gas expense! I am not leaving till someone of authority solves this or I am sending a complaint against you to the DTI and use the power of social media to expose your exceptional customer-centric (dripping with sarcasm) actions.

By the time I left, she was patiently sitting in a chair, heavily tapping her mobile phone.

But Lia, the thing that amazed me was how the clerk handled the situation. I couldnt believe this jerk. He had a poker face all throughout the customer’s outburst. He was calm, staring right into the customer’s eyes with no grin, no smirk, not even a shrug of the shoulders. HE WAS ‘EFFIN’ USED TO THIS. Meaning that this is just part of his normal job on a normal day.

This experience somewhat validates what you wrote initially about your experience. Their customer support line, 555-6868, is totally useless. The IVR would tell you that all customer advocates – bull****- were on the phone with other customers but wouldnt even let you wait. It simply cuts the line off.

I hope you’ll take the time to tell me how your experience was as far as delivery is concerned because I am about to ditch my plan of buying a in-dash video recorder.

And Lia, I appreciate you and this site. Most useful. More power to you.

    Cheers!

    Mark

    Hi Mark!

Good to know your claiming experience was not as bad! 2 hours is still a long wait, though, and it’s a good thing you came prepared, haha.

Oh, wow! Kawawa naman that lady. I hope whatever she bought was worth the hassle.

Well, my delivery experiences were all pain-free. Luckily, all the items I ordered arrived naman and I didn’t have any trouble with lost items. 🙂

If you’re looking to buy an in-dash recorder online, I saw one at Lazada for only P2,000 – http://www.lazada.com.ph/keimav-full-hd-19201080p-cwk-8000-novatek-chipset-car-video-dash-cam-dvr-recorder-320376.html 🙂

Really thanks for sharing your experience! 🙂

  25. Hi Lia,

I ordered a Kenneth Cole Eyewear last Tuesday 02/03/2015 from Ensogo. I paid same day to make sure that I’ll get the item ’til tomorrow since the voucher says, delivery will be 2-3 days from the date it was paid. I tried calling their no. but the line gets disconnected everytime I try to hold/wait for a rep. Tried emailing them and just got an auto reply from them. I’m from Pampanga, and I want to remain optimistic regarding the arrival of my item. Did you encounter any problem before? I don’t really have an idea what courier they are using.

    Thanks girl!

Hi Princess! It’s been a while since I last had stuff from Ensogo delivered. But I ordered 2 items before and they arrived naman. They arrived within a week. I don’t remember what courier they used, either. Parang it’s their own ata. Maybe since you’re from Pampanga and not based in Manila, it’ll take a little while longer. Give it a week or two. If it doesn’t arrive by then, then that’s the time you can freak out hehe 🙂 Good luck!

  27. Hello again Lia,

Oh! I should have read your feedback and could have searched reviews before I placed the order. It’s frustrating at the moment especially that I am expecting the item today (3rd day). OMG! they don’t know how to value their customers if the item will take a week before it gets to be delivered 😦

    Lia Espina Lopez

Hi Princess, I hope your items arrived already!

  29. Hi, I’m just wondering if open sila weekends? I can’t get a live person via phone. Paikot ikot lang sa ivr then na didisconnect. I emailed them 3x no call back at all. 😤😥😬

Hi Zoe, I believe they are only open during week days, office hours 🙂

  31. I just bought 2 miracle socks at Ensogo last month, April 2015. It was delivered 4 days after I paid for it. When the products came, I checked it and I noticed that the boxes were old and teared already like it was opened by someone who checked the products. I am very disappointed at it. Next, I also ordered 4pcs of LED Light Bulb. The watts of the bulb that I ordered is 7. When it was delivered 10 days after I paid for it, they gave me a wrong watts percentage. Instead of 7 watts I received 3 watts.
I’m thinking that this kind of online store will harm many people. I just wanted to warn all the costumers that think that Ensogo is a great online shop in the Philippines. Actually it is not. I’m very disappointed. I will not order again any products at Ensogo. Bad costumer service, bad products and selling fake products. I really hate ENSOGO!!!!!!!!!!!! Waste of MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  32. Hi lia, Omg i wish i had read your blog before i purchased my mk bag in ensogo coz its for pickup. I wish i can do something to make it delived in our house.maybe this will be my last for this online buying in Ensogo.ty

Hi Jlove, hope everything goes well! Just try to go as early as you can.

  34. Hi! Thanks for this post, I immediately cancelled my transaction with Ensogo after reading this 😛
Btw may I ask , hmm. I was really confused about this “Product is available for pick-up 12 business day after purchase, valid for 10 days. If not picked up within this period, product will be discarded.”. Does it mean na yung pick up ng purchased item after 12 business days pa? or within 12 business days? Thanks 🙂

  35. Hi!

After reading some negative comments in your blog, parang humiwalay ung kaluluwa ko sa aking katawan.

I bought 2 gadgets (Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge- 32Gb and Iphone 6S- 64Gb) last month. The price is almost 60K. Until now hindi pa dumating ung items ko. I emailed them but to no avail. Tinawagan ko yong customer service nila pero walang sumasagot. Gusto ko nlng sana ipa pick up ung binili ko, para mas sure ako na makukuha ko tlga. I’m currently working abroad, so pwd ko bang ipa pick up ung items ko? kahit na for delivery xa??

    Thank you.

Hi Jasper, I’m not sure if you can have it picked up, but what you can do is send someone over to the Ensogo office with the vouchers and probably a letter of authorization and inquire there directly. Hope this helps and good luck!

  37. Ensogo is one of the worst, if not the worst, online shopping sites. 1. Dont trust the products they sell – most of the signature items are not authentic. And quality control has gone really bad now that they have opened their site for individual resellers who usually are the shady ones. 2. Returning an item is one hell of STRESS. It’ll make you either just let go of the money or sue them in sheer anger. As soon as I learned about their shady business, I immediately unsubscribed from all mailings and deleted my app. Won’t use Ensogo ever. Cash-cash and Lazada are way better.

  38. You know the clerk act Like that because they used to it already because there service sucks that is the reason why they used to have a customer that scream in front of there Face,

I Place and order Feb 12 2016 and until now I am still waiting for nothing they keep on providing provisioning time of delivery and i read all the review regarding ensogo worst company ever. And products are fake there lots of review that they return the product at there own expense and ensogo never get back on them for refund and I just got an email today but the last email i Sent more than a week already and said that my product is on it’s way to post office near my location since march 21 I am just located in Laguna I am not from Mindanao that it will take to much tome to deliver the specific product that I order And even you paid shipping in review ‘s you still need to pay once you get your product in post office so it’s means you need to pay shipping twice. This is my first and my last that i will order at ensogo waste of time and money.

  39. Hi for pick up parin ba ang orders? kasi until now wla parin aqng delivery. haay super wasted!
