Just a few hours more and a new year is about to arrive! Just a little recap of some of my most enjoyable and memorable discoveries of 2012.

I realized that this year I’ve been a very kikay and girly geek (not to mention extravagant, hehe!), with most of my discoveries revolving around makeup, beauty and online shopping.

It’s either I’m turning into too much of an Apple Fan girl, or I found technology this year very boring as the only gadget stuff I can rave about are my new iPhone 5 from Smart and my new MacBook Air from the hubby.

Hmmm. Hopefully 2013 will be a much better year for geeky tech stuff!

On to my list of 2012’s best!

BEST SALON FOR HAIR COLOUR – AZTA URBAN SALON
I get to meet the New Year with an awesome new hairdo!

BEST TELCO – SMART
I made the switch this year and the last 2 weeks have been very enjoyable, with 3G everywhere I go! I love being able to access my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook anywhere and everywhere.

Looking forward to being more mobile next year with my Smart-powered iPhone 5 and MacBook Air!

BEST ONLINE SHOPPING SITE – ZALORA
While I visit a lot of online shopping sites, Zalora is my go-to when it comes to shopping for clothes locally.

The site is very easy to navigate, payment is convenient and the choices are a lot!

BEST SKIN CARE – HADA LABO
My face is notoriously dry. I get always dry patches that turn into itchy red spots which I have to control with light steroidal creams for the face.

With Hada Labo’s Hyaluronic Acid line, my face is now always so supple.

BEST FOUNDATION MAKEUP – HELLO FLAWLESS OXYGEN WOW!
My HG foundation, in Petal. I love it’s lightweight formula.

BEST LIP CARE – CARMEX LIP BALM
Thanks to Carmex, I developed an obsession for lip stuff. I cannot count the number of lip sticks I’ve bought in a span of 6 months. (Okay, maybe I can, hehe.)

Because of Carmex, my perpetual dry lips are now kissably soft!

BEST LIP COLOR – JUST BITTEN KISSABLE BALM STAIN
Another one of my obsessions this year! These balms offer great colour, are long lasting and moisturising!

BEST HAIR CARE – AVEENO
I’ve finally found my HG shampoo with Aveeno. I’ve been using Aveeno Lotion for years now and it’s the only lotion that works for me by keeping my skin moisturised without feeling itchy.

Since the lotion works so well for me, I decided to try out their shampoo line.

Aveeno shampoo is awesome! Even without conditioner, my hair ends up being soft and shiny. I notice that I get less hair fall as well!

Pretty pricey though, at almost P400 a bottle, but I think it’s worth it!

BEST NAIL SALON – NAIL TROPICS
I used to go to CANS for my manicure and pedicure, but when my sister-in-law suggested that I check out Nail Tropics, I’ve been going there ever since. The ambiance is very relaxing and their service is impeccable.

Try out their gel polish service! I also love how their waxing services comes with a free manicure or pedicure.

BEST WAXING STUDIO – BROWHAUS
I’ve only tried Browhaus once and ever since, I’ve been hounding them to put up a branch in Alabang!

BEST MASCARA – FAIRY DROPS MASCARA
I’m not a big fan of putting on mascara until I discovered Fairy Drops! Best mascara hands down. Light on the lashes and it’s the only mascara that can keep my lashes curled for hours. One swipe and it looks like you’re wearing falsies!

BEST TOY – NECOMIMI
Brainwave-controlled Cat Ears. Nuff said.

2012, you’ve been a a very, very good year to me! Here’s to another great year in 2013!
