Geek Girl Review: olloclip 3-In-One iPhone Photo Lens

I love photography.

I’m not a hardcore photographer and neither do I aspire to be one.

But I love taking photos and I’ve always been the type of person to make sure I take nice photos.

I even attended a photography class once just to make sure I learn how to take nice every day photos.

I’m a firm believer that being good in photography doesn’t require you to own an expensive dSLR. If you have the eye for photography, even if you own a low-end camera, you should be able to capture moments as good or even better as someone with the latest gear.

Even if you own an iPhone camera, you should be able to take really nice photos as long as you remember the three (3) important things when taking a nice photo:

Have a theme.
Emphasize it.
Simplify.

Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to have some add-ons to add a little flair to your photo.

Aside from installing Instagram on your iPhone, you might want to get this nifty little accessory called The olloclip.

Here are some sample macro shots. This lens is obviously my favorite as I’ve taken a LOT of photos with it.

It’s a little tricky to take photos with the macro lens. Your hand needs to be steady (use a tripod or monopod if you must), and you have to hold your iPhone at a particular distance from the subject to get a sharp, focused image.

♥ GEEK GIRL VERDICT ♥

I really LOVE this iPhone accessory. If you’re a photography buff, you should get this! 🙂 The only thing I didn’t like about it, however, is that you’ll need to remove your iPhone case to be able to use it. That’s going to be a little bit of a hassle.

    hello po! wala po para sa ipad mini kase po nag search po ako ang nakitako lang po sa ibang bansa ang kaso po ayoko po ng gamit credit card kase walapomako tiwala gusto ko po sana yung nabibili lang sa Pilipinas. or kung wala po pwede po manghingi ng suggestion kung saan or kung may alam po kung saan pwede makabili ng para po saipad mini.
