My Newest Game Addiction: Battle Camp on iOS

Move over Candy Crush.

There’s a new game in town! 😉

Battle Camp, where World of Warcraft meets Pokemon and Bejewelled in a very cute way.

As most of you know, I’m an avid player of World of Warcraft. However, I’ve been on a hiatus since the new Mist of Pandaria patch came out and I’ve been missing the game a lot.

Like a LOT.

When I saw this game on my Facebook Wall being advertised as a World of Warcraft meets Pokemon kind of game, I just had to see for myself.

I’ve been playing this game on my iPad Mini (powered by Smart LTE!) for a few days now and – OH MY GOD – I’m so addicted to it!

The WoW gamer in me is now a happy (Battle) camper 😉

I don’t know where to start so I’m just going to randomly enumerate the reasons why I love this game so much.

#1 – You can customize your toon.

Do you make your toons look like you? I normally do :) And I chose an outfit that coincidentally looks like a cosplay of Shingeki no Kyojin, hehe.

#2 – Lots of places to explore!

After you’ve set up your toon, you’ll be transported to Camp which is essentially the tutorial part of the game.

The Battle Camp map is quite big, with over 10 areas to go around on an adventure! :)

#3 – You go on quests with your super cute army of pets!

Quests are pretty simple and they normally involve killing a particular number of monsters, defeating a boss or waiting for a particular loot to drop.

This is where the Bejeweled aspect comes in. To make a move, you match 3 or 5 gems.

When you win a fight, you get experience points and money :)

#4 – You get to join a Troop (or what you normally call a Guild) to meet new friends and go on raids… yes, RAIDS! 😉

When I started the game, I got invited to this Troop called GoDSS :) Pretty fun bunch! Most of them are from Australia and Singapore, surprisingly!

Currently on this raid quest. When you complete a raid, you get puzzle piece for a super rare pet! When you get all the pieces, you get to own the pet! :)

Raid mechanics are simple. In terms, WoW players can understand, all you have to do is burn DPS until you run out of time, while your troop mates do the same.

#5 – You can also do PVP (Player vs Player)!

For the power hungry, you can beat the crap out of other people, haha. Release some rage the healthy way! ;)
