I’ve got mail! 🙂
Hello there Lia,
I went across your blog site as I was looking for reviews on the Adonit styluses. I think the cheapest one is the Jot mini – I plan to use this in taking down notes for meetings/graduate school sessions. Would you recommend this product? The Pro and the Touch’s prices are quite over the line for me, so they’re out of my options 🙂
Cheers,
Denmarc
Dear Denmarc,
First of all, thank you for your email! I love it when I get mail from readers. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside that people trust me enough to ask for advice on certain stuff especially about their tech life.
So, thank you really, your email made my day! 🙂
As for your question, while I would say that the Jot Mini is a good enough stylus to buy I would recommend that you spend a little extra on the Adonit Jot Pro rather than settling for the Adonit Jot Mini.
In the long run, it will be a better ‘investment’ for the following reasons:
- The Adonit Jot Pro is more comfortable to hold. I bet you’ll be taking a lot of notes in graduate school. The Jot Mini is really tiny and feels really awkward in the hands. Your hand might end up cramping. Also, the Jot Pro has a rubberized body so that it won’t slip out of your hands when writing.
- Less chances of you losing the Adonit Jot Pro. The Adonit Jot Pro has a extra feature that magnetically attaches it to your tablets 🙂
- Better writing experience. I experienced less skipping while using the Adonit Jot Pro compared to the Adonit Jot Mini. It responds better, too, when you’re writing fast.
Ultimately, I’d choose the Jot Pro for the comfortable grip and the better response 🙂 I’d rather pay a few extra bucks so that I can do what I want to do with a particular tool, without the frustration.
I hope this helps with making a decision! Let me know which one you went for!
XOXO,
