Some time in July, me, and my cats were invited to our first ever cat party!

What happens in a Cat Crafternoon?
I really love how Purina Philippines is making an effort to create a close-knitted community of cat-lovers here in the Philippines.
This Cat Crafternoon is just of the many afternoons where they invite cat-lovers to spend time with other cat-lovers so they can share advice and tips on how to be better cat slaves owners.
(And for cats to talk to other cats and discuss world domination)

I love the coffee table step up! Very cozy!
Each table had a can of Fancy Feast per kitty! George be like, “Open the can, human.”

And this is the menu for the humans

Really, how cute is this?! =^.^=

Parker, unfortunately, was too much of a scaredy-cat and refused to come out of his carrier

George totally chilling and checking out the crowd

For this particular Cat Crafternoon, the topic was “Catification” or “Catifying your home.”
Taking care of a cat is not just simply giving them water and food on a daily basis. It’s also making them part of your family and making sure that they feel safe and stress-free in their your home.
Catification is about creating feline-friendly environments that cater to a cat’s natural instincts to climb, perch, rest, play, and own their space. — jacksongalaxy.com
Here are some tips on how to catify your home:
- Give them a little corner they can call their own by providing boxes in secluded areas of your home.
- Make sure they can hang out by the window so they can spend time looking at birds and other critters outside
- Provide little shelves that they actually perch on, climb on and jump to and fro.
- Provide them toys and scratchers. Your furniture will thank you.
To help with catification, we were taught to make a cat scratcher!

The materials: rope, cardboard and a bell. I wasn’t able to make it on the spot, though, and decided to take home the materials instead.

Cat-lovers busy making their cat scratchers!

This little one is busy doing quality control.

The Cat Crafternoon was super fun and I hope I get invited again to the next one! Thanks Purina Philippines for inviting me!
