I haz a new laptop bag, yay! I normally won’t give a second look at backpack-styled laptop bag. I prefer tote-styled laptop bags more, since they look more fashionable and girly. Plus backpack-styled bags remind me of school, and I’m definitely not a school girl anymore.
But since I’ll be flying to Taiwan tomorrow, I decided I needed a laptop bag that was more appropriate for traveling.
My first stop was to head on over to PowerMac Center in Festival Mall. Since I’m a Mac user it’s was only natural for me to head on over to a Mac store to check bags that were made specifically for Macs. The first bag that I looked at (it was a cute white Golla backpack), I dropped it like a hot potato. It was Php 5,500.00. Never mind! No way am I going to spend that much for bag that I might not use often anyway.
So I left the store and went to Octagon, probably one of my favorite computer stores. I just love browsing around Octagon. They have a lot of really cute tech stuff there, from earphones, to card readers to mouses (mice?) and other stuff that I don’t really need but end up buying anyway.
I went straight to the computer bags section and there I saw IT! The perfect laptop bag for my trip!
A slim laptop backpack in a nice shade of silver gray with pink trimmings from Belkin. Very chic and and just enough of girly-ness. And it goes with my website, too, haha.
And the best part, it only cost Php2,500! That’s half the price of the white Golla laptop bag that I saw in PowerMac! Between Golla and Belkin, I’d go with Belkin since it’s a more trusted brand when it comes to computer accessories.
The inside is spacious enough for my other stuff and it is very well padded for protection. I also like that the shoulder straps have thick pads. I won’t have to worry about my shoulder hurting. It also comes with extra pouch that I can use for things like maybe pens and whatever.
Well, that’s it for my initial “review”. Will try to write more about this laptop bag after I’ve actually used the bag on my trip! But I’m pretty happy with my geek purchase today, yay!
