When a fan asked for a bigger SB19 poster, Acer went full-on billboard + LRT wrap

Because sometimes, you just gotta manifest it on Facebook.

If you’re a certified A’TIN (aka one of SB19’s ever-passionate fans), you already know the grind: stalking for updates, sharing every post, and zooming into blurry promo images like your life depends on it.

So when one fan playfully commented “Ninang, wala bang ilalaki ito!? Malabo po ang Mahalima” on Acer Philippines’ #AcerCampus2025 cover photo (referring to the pixel-sized version of SB19) Acer did the most unexpected thing…

They said: “Sige, ipapa-billboard natin.”

And then they actually did it.

SB19 on EDSA? Check.

Just a week after the comment, Acer unveiled a massive billboard along EDSA with the boys in full HD glory. Not to be outdone by their own move, they doubled down with a surprise SB19 train wrap on LRT Line 2. Yup, commuters now ride alongside the P-pop kings, thanks to one sassy Facebook comment and a brand with a sense of humor.

Princess Laosantos, Acer PH’s Senior Marketing Manager, summed it up best: “When your ambassadors have such passionate fans, you have to match their energy.”

What’s this all about?

This whole move is part of Acer’s #AcerCampus2025 campaign, which runs until July 13. They’re throwing in:

  • Up to ₱20,000 in discounts
  • And up to ₱10,000 worth of eGift with every purchase of participating Acer laptops

So if you’re in the market for a new device (and maybe want to support a brand that actually listens to fans), now’s the time.

Final thoughts from your resident Geek Girl:

I live for this kind of internet chaos, when a cheeky comment turns into an actual LRT wrap. It’s a rare brand move that feels less like marketing and more like a genuine, shared fandom moment. Props to Acer for not just riding the stan wave, but surfing it in style.

🖥️💚 Mahalima on the move? We love to see it.
