Un-boxing and Product Photos
The MJ502 has soft earpads and a slim-type, adjustable headband that makes it light and very comfortable to use.
I would give it a 5/5 as a personal rating but people with big ears may not particularly like this headphone as the earpads won’t fully cover their ears. Suffice to say, this headphone will be enjoyed more by women, and maybe men who have dainty ears. ;)
Long wearing of this headphone won’t give you a headache as the headband is quite flexible but firm enough to stay on your head while on the move.
Sound Quality: 3/5
The MJ502 could be your run-of-the mill headphone. It’s pretty much your basic headphone. It doesn’t exactly wow, but it won’t disappoint you either in terms of sound quality.
It has decent mid-range and high frequencies though the lows can leave you wanting for more.
If there’s one thing that keeps this headphone apart from the others — it is the fact that it is affordable even though it is a Pioneer product.
I’ve always known Pioneer for their high-end audio and electronics that it came as a surprise (for me, anyway) to see a Pioneer headphone in the less than $50 range.
If you’re going to make me choose between this headphone and the other mainstream branded headphones – like Urbanears, Skullcandy, AIAIAI, etc – I would choose this one simply because it is Pioneer.
I know I won’t go wrong with the quality and durability of this item.
For the price of P1,200+ (est. $30), this headphone will give you the most bang for your buck.
It’s also a big plus that it comes in different colors and a trendy design that will satisfy any audio geek looking for fashionable-looking headphones.
Stay tuned for my review of the MJ522 – a headphone that is just as good but delivers more punch!
